During ancient times, flowers sale was done in large markets and these markets were known for the flower sale. Flowers markets used to witness huge sales of flowers. People used to buy flowers in different forms like garland, bouquets, etc. from these markets.

Modern India has seen some changes in this trend. Though there are still many flower markets in India, people do not depend on it like before. The technology has introduced online shopping bringing convince in shopping as well. These days’ even flowers can be purchased online. There are many online flower shops that even provide delivery services. Flowers purchased from these shops will be as fresh as they are brought from the market. But, despite these services, there are still people going to markets to buy flowers.
Fashion:
Use of flowers in fashion is very popular. It is also considered trendy outside India. Shirts, skirts, saris, with floral designs are always fashionable. Ladies love to wear flowers on their head, especially on specific occasions like weddings, etc. There has always been a place foe flowers in fashion. Flowers are also used to make homes fashionable. Flowers are arranged neatly and placed in vase. This improves the beauty of the house. In Bangalore and Mumbai, the flower delivery network is expanding and making flower delivery in Hyderabad has also become popular now.
Many flowers are also used in medicines. Many Indian flowers possess medicinal properties. Some examples of flowers used in medicine are hophead, water willow, Himalaya onion, etc. Flowers are mainly used in Ayurveda and have proved to be highly effective. Flowers are also used to treat people mentally. Flowers bring in mental happiness. Due to the very same reason, flowers are often used in the rooms of patients in hospitals. This brings a positive energy to the patients and hence, helps them recover faster.
Flowers are always cheerful and make the environment pleasant. It is clear that flowers is and will always remain close to every Indian’s life.
