Land of festivals and flowers with their importance



India is a country of festivals, happiness and flowers. Some of the commonly celebrated festivals are Makar Sankranthi, Maha Shivaratri, Holi, Ram navami, Krishan Janamastami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Vijayadashmi, Diwali, Christmas, Eid and innumerous other festivals pertaining to a state or culture are celebrated. India being the most diverse in culture has unique ways to rejoice festivals and often referred to as a land of festivals. Lotus is known for its ancient depictions of purity in epic novels and many other important factors and hence unanimously it’s been accepted as the national flower of India.

Land of happiness
Festivals are just an occasion which helps people to come closer and stay united. These generally have mythological references and are being celebrated from ages. Happiness is the way we feel or experience things. Festivals have different meaning for different people. Kids like festivals as they might receive new clothes, gifts and sweets. However, the elders tend to celebrate festivals to maintain a custom or age old tradition of celebrating. The kid needs to understand the importance as well as the history behind celebrating festivals in India so that they can also propagate the custom to their future generation. India is rightly called as the land of happiness as the people living in our country celebrate all the festivals evenly without any discrimination based on caste, culture or creed or even based on financial class.

Flowers are considered a catalyst in all our festivals. Flowers can vary from different colors to different fragrances to patterns. Flowers are the most exceptional creation in the entire world and especially in India. Flowers are used in worships as they are considered divine, pure without any adulteration. Since ages, poets and authors have amplified the importance of flowers which are still used by the present generation. Every epic or novel will have a special episode around the beauty or importance of flowers. Lotus is known as the national flower of India as it has its roots with ancient India. Flower decoration becomes an integral part in our celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries, weddings flower decoration or any other social events. Usage of flowers in daily activities is also gaining popularity as people tend to understand the subtle advantages of dwelling around flowers. Some of the commonly known benefits are
